Promptings are often very subtle and easy to miss, others are like an unanswered phone, ringing and ringing until you act and say, "Hello?" One week, I listed 6 promptings that I felt were from the Lord. Five of them I followed through on, the 'ringing' one, I ignored and had to suffer the consequences. For the five I followed through on, two have had quite interesting, exciting, and very promising results. An aspect I like of acting on a prompting is to let the results be up to God---'no sweat' on my part. Our part is to listen, act, and trust God to take us in the direction He wants. We may see the results of our action right away, or the results could come months or years down the road. Just answer the phone!
