Who We Are
Church History

Faith Community Church began in the Fall of 1983, when a group of local believers felt led of God to begin a new church in O’Neill. Five months later (April of 1984), members of the Berean Church in town closed their doors and joined hands in ministry with this new church. Their pastor, Paul Harder, was asked to be the first pastor of this group of believers. This new group met in the O’Neill High School Band and Library rooms, and they saw God do some amazing things in their midst, as they committed to living together in love, and developing policies and principles from the truth of the Bible.

In August of 1984, God provided the property on which we are now located, and seven months later ( March 10, 1985), the first service was held in the new building. In 1987, Dave Foster was hired as a Youth Pastor, and then in 1988 members of the Baptist Church in town joined us and their pastor, Rodney Armstrong, came on staff. It has been an amazing experience to watch God bring people from all different walks of life and see how He has bonded them together as they focused on living for Him.

In recent years after Dave and Rodney left for other ministries, the Lord brought Steve Randolph and Jamie Lindsay onto the staff, and Norbert Krieger works part time as our visitation pastor.

It is our hope and prayer that God will use this body to produce fully devoted followers of Christ. By that we mean, people who are living by faith; learning to listen to God and faithfully obey His call on their lives; encouraging each other as opportunities arise; serving with our God-given abilities; and declaring His greatness each day through our unique experiences that may be big, small, troublesome or exciting. The greatest adventure of all is to live life in the power and strength of God and see what He can do through us.
